Chevrolet Performance engineers created the LS364/450 as an affordable yet powerful solution for hot rod builders and LS enthusiasts who want to boost the performance of their early LS-powered rides.
Built on a sturdy, cost-effective iron cylinder block with a durable rotating assembly, the 6.0L LS engine combines a high-lift LS6 camshaft with deep-breathing LS3 aluminum cylinder heads—a proven setup that delivers outstanding horsepower and a wide torque curve. The engine is fuel injection–ready, compatible with production-based components available in this catalog.
Designed with the early-style 24X crankshaft and 1X camshaft sensors, the LS364/450 makes retrofitting simpler for earlier LS-powered vehicles such as 1998–2002 Camaros, C5 Corvettes, 1999–2006 full-size trucks and SUVs, and other LS platforms.
Chevrolet offers the LS364/450 exclusively as a long-block assembly, without the induction, ignition, or front-end accessory drive systems. This gives builders the flexibility to reuse components from their existing LS setup or create a custom configuration using their preferred parts. Note that an intake manifold compatible with LS3/L92-style rectangular intake ports is required.
